Welcome to my blog about yard sales, crochet, my family and my life. A yard sale map in one hand and a crochet hook in the other.

Another month gone!

I think this will be the last year for my blog. Facebook and Instagram has taken over blogging. But here's what's happened since my last post.
Della turned 6! Mama and Daddy took her for an excursion in Boone, NC.

Declan stayed with me a couple of times. I found him some Spiderman boots at a yard sale.

Rodney turned 50! Janet had a birthday party for him at Kings Mountain State Park.

Declan likes to play ball with Grandpa Justin.

I babysat for Craig and Holly one afternoon. This is Maxel....
 Della....
 Amelia.....
 Finished a doily named Marion.

Oops! Declan couldn't make it to the house!

I "tried" to follow the Karoo Vintage MAL but was disappointed with both the written instructions and the videos.
I finished another Elements CAL but left the bobbles and squares off.

Maxel turned 4! Holly and Craig painted the rock at his school.

He started pre-K the day before.
He's playing Tee-ball too. Something I couldn't get his daddy to do!
That's it for now. Until next time.

We love Tennessee!

Justin and I took a 'spur of the moment' trip to Gatlinburg, Tennessee this past weekend. It's been so long since he and I have taken a trip alone. We really needed it!
We made a pit stop at a cute little gas station about 20 miles from Gatlinburg. I love this sink in the bathroom!
And Barney Fife keeps an "eye" on you while you're in there!
We stayed at The Historic Gatlinburg Inn that is located in the middle of the strip. We were able to walk everywhere!

We had an "Old Tyme" photo made. This was so much fun even though it made both of us look fatter than we actually are!

We ate supper at a little "hole in the wall" steakhouse. Great food and service!

The couple beside us had a cute little girl whose name was....................Charlotte!
This was the first time we had walked the strip at night.
People everywhere! They were like salmon spawning! I couldn't get over how rude some were! They would walk in the middle of the sidewalk and not move over! I just started walking straight into them so they'd have to move!
The hallway to our room was so long that it made me think of the scene from 'The Shining' where the twin girls stood at the end!

That's Justin waiting on me!
We went to the flea market on Saturday.

Went to Guinness' World Record Museum....

Got some moonshine! This taste like Bailey's!
Found these salt & pepper shakers at flea market for $2!
Tom Clark figurine for $20 at a roadside shop.
Hated to leave but had to get back home.
I finished another afghan yesterday. Blue Star pattern here.

Janet gave me the peach, gray, and variegated yarn for my birthday. I added the blue and cream.
Justin and I plan to go back to Tennessee in October for our anniversary.
Until then....
